TATE EDIT curated by momosan shop

Tate Edit is a new shop on the thames side in Tate Modern, Southbank.

'Tate Edit features limited editions, objects for the home, and artist’s products. The selection will change regularly and is uniquely Tate. This edit has been chosen for us by Momoko Mizutani, of Momosan Shop in Dalston, whose interest is to link different cultures in practical, resourceful and imaginative ways. The shop also includes many of our favourite things, from classic design pieces to objects created specially for us, and furniture, cutlery, glass and tableware used in Tate’s restaurants and member’s rooms.'

My 'Core' vases and a couple of other items I developed with Momosan are a few of the newly curated line-ups. Please pop in the shop when you visit the museum!

Commission for 'Giacometti' at Tate Modern

I was commissioned to make exclusive pieces for the shop alongside this major retrospective exhibition. I designed two groups of ceramics. One was a group of vessels inspired by Egyptian artefact such as Abydos ware and limestone cosmetic jar as he drew inspirations from the ancient arts. The other one is thin long wall hanging vase reflecting his artistic expressions and the materials.
